“1981. Civil War rages in El Salvador between American-supported government forces and guerillas. Refugees flee to Los Angeles and form the gang, “Los Discípulos”. Many are deported back to El Salvador and eventually form one of America’s largest human trafficking rings.” This is the backdrop for “Relentless”, inspired by true events.

State legislators, and film-makers joined together for a historic screening of Relentless, a dramatic film inspired by true events about Human Trafficking -Relentless
The award winning film RELENTLESS was screened Monday January 29th, 2018 for the Senate and the House for speedy passage of Bill 554. Currently in the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senate Bill 554 would create a safe harbor for victims of human trafficking, giving them the resources they need to recover rather than criminally charging them.
Pennsylvania Senator Camera Bartolotta hosted the event with Abolish Slavery Coalition as part of the National Human Trafficking Awareness Month with Lance Tracy, director of Relentless and Dawn Adams of Abolish Slavery Coalition including Senator Lisa Baker, and Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Bill DeWeese in the hopes to get more done in Pennsylvania to prevent human trafficking.
Dawn Adams of Abolish Slavery was present to speak to law makers about human trafficking, and to answer questions as well as provide statistics on human trafficking both state/nationwide

About: RELENTLESS An American mother (Lauren Shaw) searches for her daughter who was taken by human traffickers in war-torn El Salvador, one of the most dangerous countries in the world. With the help of an “unconventional” local (David Castro), she unearths a well-established human trafficking ring that links back to the U.S. The trail takes her through Central America and Mexico via “The Train of Death”. Inspired by true events. The event will consist of a red carpet, press conference, screening, Q & A by the writer & director, Lance Tracy and the cast followed by a reception.

“Our goal is to take the audience on an international thrill ride while including them in our fight to end human trafficking,” says HUMAN founder & “Relentless” director Lance Tracy. “The project benefits The Abolish Slavery Coalition, raising awareness for their cause as they help rescue and rehabilitate survivors of human trafficking even while filming the movie.”

About: Lance Tracy, A Seattle-Native, LA-Based, U.S. Veteran, commercial and documentary writer/director. “Relentless” is his first narrative feature. Often working with NBC/Universal and CBS Interactive, Tracy has helped to brand the Sochi and London Olympics as well as the CBS streaming service, “CBS All Access”. Lance Tracy got his start working 5 years as an in-house dramatic films director, making short films such as “The Cross” & “The Prodigal Daughter”.

With distribution in 155 countries and 15 languages, Lance was sensitized to an international audience while earning 12 writing and directing awards. He has directed projects in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Cambodia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico City, Belize, Honduras, Moscow, St. Petersburg and the U.S. In 2004 he started HUMAN to produce a feature documentary deemed by Sundance as “an accomplished film”. His company then produced humanitarian documentaries all over Mexico & Central America. HUMAN has successfully mixed his love of bettering the world with his passion for film.
