Child Survivors of Human Trafficking Need a Home Urgently
Casa del Jardin was founded by International Network of Hearts (INH), in 2011, as the first group home for child victims of human trafficking in Tijuana, B.C., Mexico. Among their first residents were Karina, aged 12, and Sofia, aged 9 – two sisters, who were fell prey to child pornography at the hands of their own mother. Today, the sisters thrive at Casa del Jardin, where they receive counseling, education, legal and medical care. However the greatest thing this children have received, is a place to call home where they feel loved and cherished.
Since it’s opening, over 20 broken girls have come Casa del Jardin, yet the home has given them courage to believe that no dream is impossible. Like each of us, they dream of becoming doctors, lawyers and successful entrepreneurs. Like us, they want to change the world! Unfortunately, their dreams are in danger of being broken again…
A donor who had funded the Casa del Jardin safe house last year has reneged on his promise and is asking them to leave, leaving them homeless. These innocent girls literally have nowhere else to go as they are victims of organized crime or were exploited by their own families. The INH is facing an unprecedented emergency and are in urgent need of a new home, and we need to do everything in our power to prevent their re-victimization.
Our girls need YOUR help!
INH requires $230,000 USD to purchase a new home for our girls. Please donate! Any amount will help get closer to their goal, and if you are not able to donate, please would you help us by sharing our request with others.
